An Equally Happy Michael Gould
Bonny River, NB - The Hockey reported last week that a group of Pennfield millionaires that included Geoff Cunningham, Mike Gould and a chap known only as Clyde the Glide were about to announce the purchase of the Bonny River Ratz. This information was released as the result of a telephone interview with Gould last Thursday night.
Late Friday, Cunningham released information tot he Hockey Voice that stated that he and Gould were the sole investors and that "their hands were tied as the result of current contracts." Cunningham added, "If me and Gouldie are going to be able to turn this team around, we will need complete control of all aspects of the team. We aren't going to keep Taylor and bring another bunch of poor performers like they had last year. Hey man, you can't polish a turd, know what I'm saying?"
