Kingfishers Get in Dugas' Kitchen Tuesday Night

Blacks Harbour, NB - Matty Walsh donned the pads Tuesday night and demonstrated why he's considered to be in the Top 15 Goalies in the FIHL. Although the Kingfishers came up short 10-7, Walsh made several key saves to keep them in the game. Andrew Dugas was equal to the task in the other net for the Timberwolves. In other action, the Lepreau Pirates downed the slumping Bonny River Ratz 9-7. The Ratz have lost three in a row dating back to Jan. 19 when they edged NBCC in a shootout.
The streak has Joe Stevens upset and has full intentions of turning it around. The Ratz face the Timberwolves Sunday night, NBCC next Tuesday before closing out the regular season Thursday, Feb. 12 in St. Andrews versus the Twisters. Stevens noted, "The Ratz are going on a winning streak for sure this time. We want all 6 points next week. This team has underachieved all year and that is over, boys."
