Kingfishers Executive Jamie Harris Blacks Harbour, NB - Jamie Harris and Matty Walsh met for hours late Wednesday to discuss roster moves and Harris emerged with "renewed optimism." Harris said, "We feel we have the right guys right now that could compete for 6th or 7th place, no question. We have a couple guys that could probably play for the Ratz right now. I know they have some new guys and cut loose some others, but Matty and I both feel we have a couple and that's how we gauge our success as a team."
Harris also announced that it appears that time has run out for Ken Wright and the Kingfishers. Harris said that Walsh had made efforts to come to terms with him, but in the end, it seemed he was not interested in playing for the club.
The Kingfishers expect to hold a press conference on Friday to announce some new signings.
