Watson Announces Retirement

Shane Watson (Front) Announces Retirement from Ratz

Bonny River, NB - As training camp winds down, and roster moves are still being made, Shane Watson announced he will not be joining the Ratz for the 2009-2010 season. A club official said he spoke to Watson Monday and confirmed the news. The retirement of Watson and the mentioning of new signings coming soon, have fueled speculation that the Ratz are on the verge of making a bombshell deal. Joe Stevens mentioned the team was not done dealing yet but refused to go in to any further details as it had not been finalized with the player (s) and double-checked for cap issues.
