Kingfishers Captain Caught in Scandal?

Groom Denies Any Wrongdoing

Blacks Harbour, NB - FIHL officials are probing a serious allegation that Kingfishers Captain Greg Groom was involved in some sort of money laundering and/or gambling scheme. A picture was given to the Hockey Voice by an anonymous source and it clearly shows Groom attempting to give a bearded man some American cash.

Groom says he is fighting all the allegations. When contacted, he said, "Geez, the Hockey Voice again! How in hell would they know if I was paying somebody off or buying a ZZ Top box set? Everywhere you go, the Hockey Voice is there. I didn't do anything wrong and I'll be proving that. What a bunch of crap this is!"
