Piskehegan, NB - The Hockey Voice took home top honours at the much-coveted Golden Partridge Awards. The Hockey Voice was nominated as Charlotte County's top sports publication. It beat out the Courier Legion Sports report by a narrow margin. The Golden Partridge Director Miles O'Toole said, "The Hockey Voice's heavy hitting reporting style along with its thought-provoking poll questions set it apart from the competition. Congratulations to Mark Taylor and his staff for a job well done."
All staff was in attendance and editor Mark Taylor thanked all of them for their contributions. He said, "This is a group effort. I don't know what else to say. This is a great day in Charlotte County journalism. I think Obama was right when he said I think we can beat them rotten bastards and we did and he did."
